Women’s Economic Empowerment is the lifeline to economic empowerment for women in all stages of life through Small Business creation, financial management and income generation.
Women’s Business Solutions: A Women’s Business Center designed to help you start and grow your small business. We empower entrepreneurs, especially those who are economically or socially disadvantaged, through training and counseling towards the road to success!
Brass Tacks Business Basics (free)
An introductory class for prospective entrepreneurs. We introduce you to starting your small business. You will learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurism, business planning and managing a business. Those ready to start a business progress to the Business Planning 101 course.
Business Planning 101 ($350 for a six week comprehensive course, $100 per module)
Product: A professional quality complete business plan.
Planning is the key to a successful business! This six week course will provide the framework for writing a detailed business plan. Topics include business basics, market analysis, marketing strategy, basic numbers, cash and taxes. Your final business plan will be utilized for your business operations, budgeting, and to obtain funding from banks and/or investors. This class is necessary for new and existing business owners.
Business Counseling (free)
Sit down with us and receive one-on-one expert business counseling.
Business Lectures and Seminars ($15)
Let us help you grow your business through professional seminars designed to address the topics that you as a small business owner need and want.
Brass Tacks Budget Basics: We help you understand your money and earning power.
Day-to-Day Money Management ($50, sliding scale available)
Product: A monthly budget template for one year.
If you need help and want to understand the power of your money, let us help you. Using your monthly bills and income statements determine your month-to-month budget for the year. Watch your money grow! In addition three sessions of one-on-one counseling are available for you. Additional counseling available at $20 per session.
Income Generation : : Let us help you get ahead and realize the power of earning more money. This is an ideal course for those looking to reach your financial goals.
Income Generation Course ($75, sliding scale available)
Product: A personalized plan for increasing personal income.
Together we look at your current income and we help you find ways to help you make more money. You receive an individualized plan to help you reach your goals and earning potential. In addition you receive three sessions of one-on-one counseling. Additional counseling available at $20 per session.
Business Office/Library:
For students attending classes we have a business office/library for your use for free while attending classes. For all other times: $10 per hour. Please call 644-9611 for information.
